HTC Buyers Beware !!!!!!! one M9

Thiis by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Originally bought the phone because of the Uh oh protection plan..... Well i cracked The Screen.....After about a month and a half of them giving me the runaround they finally honored the protection plan.I finance the phone pretty much like everyone in America does and they said they needed an original receipt to process the protection plan. After submitting many copies from T-Mobile they still would not honor it.By this time the 12-month was up. After about 10 hours on the phone I finally got management to honor what was promised to me. Was told it is a 4 day turnaround between sending the old and receiving the new phone. It has been two and a half weeks since they have received my old phone (via tracking #)and they keep telling me to call back within 48 hours for a tracking number.Customer service representatives are always nice, probably has to do with the survey immediately after the call. Absolutely ridiculous for such a big company to be so deceiving . I had a problem with my son's iPhone and within 12 hours got a new one from Texas to Pennsylvania. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!Stay away from HTC! I will NEVER buy an HTC product ever again !

Terrible return process

Bought a new U11 on preorder. It doesn't have all bands available and just doesn't suit me. I return it well within the 30 day window, luckily spent the extra $ for UPS so it was tracked and signed for. 3+ weeks, numerous phone calls and emails later.... I'm still waiting for the supposed 5-7 day refund.

FAULTY PHONE HTC 1 M8

i got 2 htc 1 m8 for my 2 daughters on sprint and both phones stopped working within 2 weeks of each other after 19 months and HTC wants me to pay $300 each for repair. the phones in question will not take charge and both are completely dead and they are blaming my daughters for overusing the phone. if it was one, i will believe that but both of the phones to stop working at about the same time tells me that they already know about the problem with this particular phone. I just want them to own up to this incompetence and fix their phone. the phone is still on lease with sprint and I cannot continue to pay for a phone which is not in working condition

This is a detailed review to show how unprofessional these employees are! You have to go to customer service chat to ask questions and receive a ticket to send your phone. There is an email option, but you will NEVER get a reply. I had to switch between a few representatives because none of them wanted to help - they didn’t reply in chat, wouldn’t put in a ticket in, poor English, or they dared got an attitude. I finally got a rep that cooperated, so I sent my phone in early January. Waiting several weeks later, I get an email of the payment quote in the middle of February. First, they coded my phone in as an M8 when it was in fact an One A9. That seems suspicious to me, how can the repairmen code a phone in wrong when they are going to FIX it? I will not pay $300 for them to repair my phone as something else, which the price is also ridiculous for a motherboard that I can get for $10 online. I sent an email when I received the quote (at 3 AM, chat not available), and asked if my phone could be held because I could not pay at the time. No reply after 3 days, but I receive an email stating that my phone was being send back. (You have two weeks to send the phone in & pay when you receive the quote). I went to chat with another rep about this issue, but she was of no help. Surprisingly, they mailed my phone back fast! Their packaging was just a thin plastic container with tape to secure the phone from moving, no bubble wrap or anything to protect the phone from damaging. Why can they NOT communicate between each other? Why can they NOT be clear with their actions? This company is deceiving and sketchy as ***. You pay too much for what their phones are not really worth.

This company put a hold on my credit card for a protection plan, then after a month they sent the new phone, after that I have 10 days to send the old phone. I sent the old phone back, 1 month later they charge me 305, I called them and told them bout the situation, and they keep saying the damage was too big for the protection plan, they said it was water damgage and it couldnt be replaced. I told them and wrote them the HTC protection plan policy and no were does it say it will exclude certain water damages. It only says water damage protection plan. below is the Terms for the protection plan, please read and stay away from this company. HTC customer service is one of the worst I have experienced and heard of. They failed to follow there policies 90% of the time. It took me about 10 hours on the phone with them to get a replacement phone that worked. The first phone was a refurbished phone and the main home button did not work properly. The second one they sent a new one. I was told multiple times that I would receive a call from someone within a certain time frame or time. They failed to call me 6 times back and the one time they did call me was over 3 hours later than they said. I was promised to be called by 10 am my time and did not receive a call till after 1 pm. They did offer $25 to there website as compensation. The offer is a joke for the time I had to talk to them and not have a phone for my personal and business. I do like the phone, I would say to go thru your phone company for work rather than HTC. They refuse to receive any postal communication also.

I purchased a HTC 10 through Sprint with one of those leasing plans in July. My phone just stopped working for no reason, so I thought the Uhh Ohh protection would be a great idea. So I sent my barely used, in perfect condition phone to HTC. Last Saturday I received back a Frankenstein phone, spent 5 hrs on the phone with sprint trying to activate the phone. The meid and imei were completely different numbers instead of being one number off. I finally talked to a 3 rd level engineer and he said no way this phone can be added to sprints database because even though it boots up and says sprint it is a gsm phone not cdma, he told me to call htc and tell them so send another phone. So I did and they told me their rma dept was not open until Monday. Instead of shipping me a new phone. So I called first thing Monday and they submitted a ticket to their escalation dept and told me I would hear back in 3-5 days!!!! No I am not joking any other company would have next dayed a phone because they screwed up. Not HTC!!!Oh and the lady asked me if I bought my phone at Walmart and if it was prepaid no it was a sprint phone that's what I sent you. What you sent back is not my phone at all.It is now Friday night and I still have not heard from them, I still don't have a phone that works and I am still paying for a phone. Anyone have any advice???? This is ridiculous, how does a company treat its customers like this?

My issue has still not been resolved! They refuse to send me another phone and keep telling me they are working on activating the phone.

At this point I am beyond upset, I am paying for a service plan and lease payment on a phone that doesnt work. I am disgusted with HTC, their customer service is awful. Every time I call its another story and then nothing happens and I have to call them every week to find out whats going on.

I will never buy anything from htc again. Never heard of treating your customers this way

Can anyone explain to me why HTC thinks it a grand idea to take up 90% of the screen with keyboard and previous emails when one is trying to reply to a message? They magnanimously let us view two lines of our text while huge swaths of the screen are wasted on "previous messages" and keyboard. A question: had anyone from HTC tried to respond to a message with their product?

Europe Support for HTC Vive - incredible bad

I have a broken device of the Vive equipment and opened a ticket to get a repair of it. It`s 1.5 month old and just several days used. Opened the ticket and they need 3 Days to copy paste a troubleshooting guide without reading what I have written and without asking for logs. I sent the logs anyway and told them again all my troubleshooting as well as again the problem description. After one whole day another question which was as well answered before in my mails. This little story takes now 14 days. I have opened several Chats even in US without success. They always play their game by asking the same troubleshooting steps. I`m sure they have never seen a Vive before. Yesterday they told me ok to organize a pickup of the device. Today I asked when they will pick it up. Answer: As soon as they scheduled the pickup. Wow. Organizing a pickup of a broken device should take 5 minutes, not 5 days. Still no progress and still a supporter who is not willing to organize a repair of a broken device of a 900€ package. In my opinion HTC has the worst support of all manufacturers in the world. Where is the problem to organize a repair? Where is the problem to answer within hours if there is an active opened ticket? Btw - I also opened a Return Order ticket and you can guess.... I never got an answer, but a mail: "Your Request has been answered (s.below) please rate the support." The text below is my own request :) Support rating: 0/100 Technical knowledge: 1/100 Quality: 0/100 If you don`t know anything and if you are searching a job, try to work for HTC Europe.

Don't Buy These Phones

We purchased an HTC 10 that was shipped May 8 and stopped working June 3. We have sent it back to them twice, only to have it returned to us with the same problem both times. It is forever stuck in airplane mode. Support keeps saying that they are escalating my issue, but, strangely, nobody ever calls me back. They claim to have no way to contact the people to whom they have to escalate it. I think they are trying to defraud us with no intention of fixing or replacing the phone and certainly no intention of refunding our money. We have already bought another, non-HTC phone for our son.

I had uhoh protection on my M9. It just powered off one day and not even the sprint service department could get it to spring to life. Sent it to HTC after an hour of discussion with a barely English speaking agent. Got a phone back a week later. But, it was not my phone, not new and horribly in bad condition. I also lost my 30 dollar glass screen protector, of which I could not remove. The phone is scratched, marred and the buttons stick. So yeah... I call back to ask for a phone that works normal and at least close to new condition like mine.... Nope, after another hour on the phone, they finally said send it in. I again would be with no phone for over a week. And was told if the phone passes all the HTC diagnostic test, I will have to pay return shipping. To *** with this company!

Recently pre-ordered a HTC 10 from HTC UK direct. Was charged the same day, yet a month later and only a few days before general release, could only be told the phone would be dispatched 'soon'. Shipping notification was sent 6 hours AFTER delivery was attempted, at which point I realised the post code was wrong (something that would've been obvious, had they sent the shipping notification when it was generated). Tried contacting the courier and HTC through almost every available channel and told that the matter would be dealt with urgently, however a day & a half later I still haven't heard from them. I'm still waiting for the phone, but quite honestly, would never ever purchase from HTC directly again. A complete farce.

Damaged Replacement Phone

Extremely horrible customer service. I used the Uh-Oh Protection because my phone was water damaged. I thought the Uh-Oh Protection was a great idea until I had to use it. The replacement phone that was sent to me was damaged! I am now trying to get a replacement phone for the damaged replacement phone that I was sent. I just spent over 2 hours on the phone with the Escalation department, only to be told that I can not change my shipping address from the address that they have on file. I told the rep that I no longer live at the address that they have, and do not want the phone shipped there. I am told now that the only option I have is to send in my damaged phone and be without a phone until they ship me a new one. This is totally unacceptable!!! I was told there is no Manager that I can talk to and the system will not allow them to update my address. I would never recommend anyone purchasing a HTC phone.
